Nursery

Introduction

We have a wonderful new Nursery provision at All Saints’ as part of our Early Years Foundation Stage that has been designed to be engaging, stimulating and provide challenge for all pupils. As with the rest of our school, we prioritise high-quality early excellence resources that are carefully organised to optimise learning opportunities. We have welcomed our Nursery pupils and families with open arms and are thrilled to provide provision for children from their third birthday.

Our provision incorporates features of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, proven to facilitate children’s learning best. This includes:

  • A well-structured learning environment that stimulates curiosity and encourages independent exploration. Our Nursery unit has opportunities for child-led, adult-led and adult-initiated learning.
  • A variety of play areas that are stimulating and promotes curiosity such as: construction; role play; creation; family area; reading area; potion station; sensory areas; digging; water; and many more!
  • Highly skilled, experienced staff who prioritise interaction and communication.
  • Accessible and inclusive resources that promote collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A rich and varied curriculum that is supported within our indoor and outdoor learning environment and a wider outdoor provision to ensure children have frequent opportunities to learn outside of the classroom…come rain or shine!

What to Wear / Uniform

We believe that our uniform contributes to the sense of pride felt by all our pupils in the school community that they belong to. We request that all nursery pupils wear our school uniform. Further details can be found on our school uniform page.

Nursery children do not need a PE kit however must have wellies and outdoor clothing with them each Wednesday as they will enjoy the great outdoors as part of ‘Welly Wednesday’! Wellies can remain in school.
