Term Dates / School Day
Term dates and timetables for our school.
Please find the Term Dates for the school year below. Please be advised that our term dates do not always match those of Durham County schools.
Absence or lateness, for whatever reason, will adversely affect children’s education. It is a legal obligation for children to attend school regularly and punctually. Excellent attendance is everyone’s business and improving attendance is in everyone’s interests. We aim to secure good attendance by building strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers so that we can support them to reduce any barriers to school attendance.
At All Saints’, we operate a first day call system for all absent children – please contact 01205 520435 as soon as possible on the first day of absence and leave a message stating the reason for the absence otherwise, your child’s absence will be deemed unauthorised.
Head teachers have the discretion to grant leave, but this will only be done in exceptional circumstances; family holidays are not classed as ‘exceptional circumstances’. Parents can be fined for taking their child on holiday during term time without consent from the school.
Our main school door is opened open at 8.40am for all year groups. Our Breakfast Club is available from 7:45am. The end of the school day is 3:15pm. We have extracurricular clubs most nights until 4pm and Tea Time Club takes place daily until 5:15pm. Our compulsory school hours run from 8:45am to 3:15pm daily, giving us a net weekly total of 32 hours and 30 minutes.
