December 2025

A post in our latest news section.

As the festive season approaches, All Saints’ is buzzing with excitement and preparations for a magical Christmas celebration. We want to take the opportunity, at this most important time of year, to ensure we bring joy to the whole community.

Our infant performance of Born in a Barn and junior concert of Groovin’: The Nativity are for our families and our local neighbours. Everyone should have the opportunity to see the confidence and happiness our pupils display. Year Six took time to write Christmas cards for those who might want to join us. Speaking of Christmas cards, we hope you enjoyed the Churches Together card designed by Dana and Mabel – we thought the images were lovely reminders of the true meaning of Christmas. Our retiring collections at our performances always fund the World Gifts campaign: the money raised is split between all classes for the children to choose their purchase, whether it’s Teaching Someone to Read, sending Water to a Family or building a Terrific Toilet. What a wonderful effort from our children to think about others at Christmas.

To spread kindness and community spirit, our pupils will also sing carols at Willowburn Hospice, Lynwood House and our pupils will also plan, prepare and host an Afternoon Tea for parishioners from All Saints’ and St. Teresa’s church.  These initiatives reflect the values we hold dear at All Saints’ —caring for others and making a positive difference: aspiring to be the best versions of ourselves.

Thinking of our younger friends in the community, we have been thrilled to introduce our Smallest Saints’ this term for children not yet school age. The next two events are ‘Messy Play’ and ‘Christmas’ – everyone is welcome! Our infant children are also keen to share the story of Christmas, and the baby Jesus, at home with their families via our Travelling Cribs. Finding five minutes of peace and reflection at home, when life is so busy, is to be treasured.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to these special events and sharing the magic of Christmas with our wonderful village community. We also look forward to the parties, Christmas lunch and jumper day, the pantomime, a special visit from a very special visitor, class rewards, homemade gifts and treats and all of the excitement of Christmas.  From all of us at All Saints’ we wish you a very Merry Christmas and hope everyone who reads this finds a little joy over the holidays. All the best for 2026.
