As the golden leaves fall and the season of autumn well and truly settles in, our pupils are
celebrating another half term which has been filled with joy, achievement and high standards.
From the youngest learners in Nursery discovering the magic of storytelling and song, to the
oldest pupils in Year Six tackling ambitious historical learning related to how Islamic scholars
preserved the learning of the ancient world and moved knowledge forward, the school has been
a hive of purposeful activity. Classrooms have echoed with laughter, curiosity, and determination
as children have embraced every opportunity to grow and succeed.
This term has seen a renewed focus on excellence across the curriculum with a particular focus
on ‘participation’. Pupils have risen to the challenge, producing work of remarkable quality in
English, Mathematics, Science, and the Arts. Teachers have been thrilled with the children’s
resilience and pride in their learning.
Beyond the classroom, the school has been alive with enrichment. Harvest celebrations brought
the community together in a spirit of gratitude and generosity, while school council and House
Captain elections gave pupils a voice and a sense of responsibility. Our sporting calendar has
begun with cross country and boys’ football with our cross-country team qualifying for the
upcoming Derwentside finals. Our Welcome Liturgy, European Day of Languages, educational
visits and non-uniform days added colour and excitement to the beginning of the year, reinforcing
All Saints’ commitment to a broad and balanced education.
Our wonderful families have played a vital role, supporting learning at home and joining in with
school life; their partnership with staff continues to be a cornerstone of the school’s success.
The first eight weeks in term have been joyful; our children have achieved so much, not just
academically but in their confidence, kindness and creativity. We are incredibly proud of them
and grateful to our dedicated staff and families at All Saints’. As we look ahead to the festive
season, we do so with pride in all that has been accomplished—and excitement for the
opportunities the next half term will bring.
