Friday 8th September

We have had a wonderful first week in Year 1 and everybody has settled in really well!

In RE we have been thinking about who is in our families and our discussions have really helped us to get to know each other. We created our families using pebbles!

In English we have started reading a funny story called ‘Who’s our New Teacher?’ and the children had great fun imagining who it could be. We have done some excellent descriptive sentences about the new teacher. Well done everyone!

In Maths we have been sorting objects and giving reasons for our choices. The children have impressed us with their mathematical vocabulary.

We are already looking forward to more fun and learning next week!
